BrainTap Headset Quick-Start Guide

This article will go over some of the key features and information regarding the BrainTap headset.

This YouTube video will provide a walk-through of setting up your headset and app for the first time. Check it out!

How to Use Your New Headset

Charge your battery for 4-8 hours before first use. The green light next to the charging port indicates a full charge. Your headset can connect to your phone via Bluetooth and the auxiliary cord. The visor light only turns on once your session begins. You can adjust the light intensity, volume, and headset to your comfort level using the buttons on your headset. Find a comfortable position with proper neck and back support to induce optimal relaxation. Remember to turn it off after use.

Let's Get Started

1. Charge the headset overnight or until the battery indicator light has turned green.

2. Download the BrainTap app from the Apple or Google Playstore.

3. Login using the email address and password you created upon purchase. Create a

new account if needed.

4. Select a session. First-time users start with the Intro to Braintapping bundle, listening to the sessions in sequential order.

5. Download or stream to play a session for the first time. Visor lights will not trigger until the session begins playing. If the visor lights are not flashing, increase the audio volume on your mobile device (phone or tablet).

Pairing your Bluetooth for the First Time

  1. Turn the BrainTap® headset on - Bluetooth turns on automatically. The Bluetooth logo will flash blue until connected.
  2. Open the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone or tablet.
  3. Follow the pairing instructions for your device. The headset will appear with a unique serial number (Example: BRAINTAP 6011614668).
  4. Once connected, press play on a session in the BrainTap app and enjoy!

Re-Connecting Your Device

  1. Your BrainTap® headset will automatically pair with the nearest, last paired device available.
  2. If you have two devices that you have paired to the same headset, you may need to unpair or turn off Bluetooth on the device you do not want to use.
  3. Plugging in the auxiliary cable to the headset will deactivate Bluetooth automatically.

Manage Your Experience

  1. Keep the volume on the device above 70% and adjust the audio using the headset volume buttons on the right earphone.
  2. Do not use an auxiliary cord when paired with Bluetooth.
  3. Bluetooth uses additional battery power, limiting the number of sessions that can play before requiring a charge.
  4. Bluetooth can decrease volume output on some devices.
  5. If the audio isn't playing through the BrainTap® headset, forget the device and re-pair.
