Getting Started with NeuralChek GO™
The quick-start video below will walk you through everything you need to know.
How do I pair my NeuralChek GO device for the first time?
- Open BrainTap and tap the pulse icon in the navigation bar.
- If your account has an active NeuralChek subscription, you'll see the Pair Device screen. Tap the button to begin.
- BrainTap will scan for nearby Bluetooth devices. Make sure your NeuralChek device is charged and within range.
- When you see DCR9 appear in the list, tap it to pair.
- Once paired, you'll be prompted to take your first measurement. You can start right away or choose Maybe Later to take one whenever you're ready.
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone before pairing. If your device doesn't appear, try toggling your phone's Bluetooth or charging the device.
How do I take a measurement?
- Tap the pulse icon in the navigation bar.
- Make sure your NeuralChek Go device is powered on and connected to Bluetooth.
- Tap Start Measurement in the application.
- Place your thumbs on the Left and Right pads on the NeuralChek Go and keep them there for the entire reading
- Sit comfortably, stay still, and breathe normally throughout the reading. Avoid talking or moving so the sensor can capture a clean signal.
- When the reading completes, your results will be processed and displayed automatically.
For the most accurate results, take your measurement in a quiet setting and try to stay relaxed.
How long does a measurement take?
A typical NeuralChek reading takes approximately 3–5 minutes, during which the device collects 500 full RR intervals (the time between heartbeats). Staying still and breathing normally helps the measurement finish as quickly and accurately as possible.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes — an internet connection is required to process your results. The measurement itself is captured by your NeuralChek Go device and can continue through a brief network interruption, but once the reading is complete, your data is sent to our servers for processing. You'll need to be back online to view your results.
Wi-Fi or cellular data both work. If processing fails due to a connection issue, you can retry from the results screen once you're back online.
