The BrainTap headset has independent volume control and five levels of light intensity for your comfort.
IMPORTANT: If the volume on your audio device, such as your smartphone, is to low, the BrainTap headset will not be able to pick up the Neuro Sensory Algorithms (NSAs) embedded in the sound file and the lights will not activate in the visor.
To ensure your device functions properly follow the instructions
- Find the Volume Range. Since the output range can vary from the audio player
to another, you will first want to find the range of the device. Starting with the headset in your hands, turn the volume on your device to the highest setting. Adjust the volume lower until the lights pulse properly. As you continue to lower the volume you will reach a point where the lights are no longer visible. This will give you the operating range for your device. We recommend the midpoint as the best place to set the device volume. Be sure to check your device volume setting before each use. - Adjust to Comfort. Once the volume is set on your device, put it on the headset. Tap the V+ or V- controls on the earphones to adjust the volume to your personal comfort
-
Select Light Intensity. Your BrainTap headset has five levels of light intensity. With the device in the ON position, begin an audio session with the volume
in the range you prefer. Your headset is pre-programmed to start with the lowest intensity of light. If you prefer a brighter intensity, simply tap the light adjustment until the light is at the intensity you prefer. It is recommended for first-time users to start with lower-intensity light and move to higher intensities with future uses. If the setting becomes uncomfortable, simply tap the light adjustment button until the light intensity is more comfortable for you.
