NeuralChek During the Scan FAQs

This article will answer common FAQs during a NeuralChek Scan

Why is the ECG wave pattern upside down?

The ECG waves are upside down, which means that you have incorrectly placed the lead clips on the wrists. You can either stop the scan and switch the clips to the appropriate wrist or you can click on the circular arrow button beside the start button. Which will switch the polarity on the lead clamps, and you won't have to stop the scan.

Why is the ECG line "Fuzzy"?

The ECG line may appear to be "fuzzy" or thicker than normal when the computer is plugged into a power source. This will not affect the reliability of the scan.

The patient or client does not have any known heart issues or a pacemaker, so why are so many artifacts appearing in the rhythmogram?

This is a direct result of the person's voltage, sensitivity to external energy fields, or the presence of an electronic device nearby. Check to ensure the person does not have a smart watch on their wrist, and make sure they do not have a phone in their pocket. If the patient is a female and she has a purse resting in her lap, a phone in the purse can also interfere. It is best practice to place purses/bags that may contain a phone on a table or in a chair away from the person being scanned.

If no electronic device is present, the person's voltage may not be compatible, or they may be too susceptible to external energy fields (I.E., the presence of another person nearby).
